PC David Ian Haigh

PC Haigh was sent to arrest a known petty criminal sleeping rough. Instead he found a hardened criminal asleep in his car, who fatally shot him on the side of the road.

David was just twenty nine years of age when he died in 1982.

The memorial, which was unveiled by our Chair Mrs Geraldine Winner is located at Norwood Edge Car Park, Stainburn Forest, North Yorkshire
