A group of Metropolitan Police Service volunteer police cadets based in Havering have paid a special visit to the historic Palace of Westminster to pay tribute to Police Constable Keith Palmer GM who was murdered in March 2017.
The cadets formed at The Police Memorial Trust’s memorial to pay their own tribute to the officer’s service and sacrifice.
The stone which stands within a designated World Heritage site was unveiled on 20th February 2019.
Steve Lloyd of the Police Memorial Trust charity said:
“We know the fact that people visit all 51 of our memorials all year round brings some comfort to the families, friends and colleagues of fallen officers”.
He added:
“It is particularly nice to see the younger generation of our police family paying their special tribute to a fallen hero”.
