The latest intake of recruits to The City of London Police have paid a visit to The National Police Memorial in The Mall in London to pay their respects to fallen officers.
P.C Madeline Eaton (Pictured) laid a special floral tribute on behalf of the group to honour the sacrifice of the officers. At just 19 years of age Madeline is the youngest recruit in the intake. In a family tradition Madeline follows her mother and father into the police service.
The visit was arrange by Sgt Bruce Howell of the learning and Organisational Development Branch. Bruce is the liaison officer for the planned unveiling of our memorial to the late Commander Moore QPM. He died following a violent struggle whilst arresting a suspect.
Commander Moore is one of 31 The City of London Police officers to be commemorated in the United Kingdom’s Police Roll of Honour which is housed in the National Police Memorial.
